Mr. Cecil Leonard Roark, age 85 passed away February 7, 2025 at his home. He was born February 17, 1939 in Miller County to Earl & Ida (Gaither) Roark. On September 16, 1961 Cecil married his wonderful and supportive wife Judy Russell.

Cecil was a Navy Veteran where he was stationed in Long Beach, California. After the Navy he had many jobs before finding his niche as an Electrician.

Cecil owned and operated Southerlin Electric and joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #257 in the 1970's. He continued to work for various union contractors until he retired from IBEW in 2001.

Cecil had many "hobbies". He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, hunting anything from coyotes, rabbits, squirrels and deer, playing lots of pool and drinking beer. But I think we all know his favorite pastime was driving. Cecil was known as the Neighborhood Watch everywhere from Henley to Mary's Home to Saline Valley.

Cecil is survived by his wife Judy; daughters: Lisa (Bill) Bashore of Eugene, Lynette (David) Procter of Henley; grandchildren: Brandon (Lana) Bashore, Adam (Katie) Bashore all of Henley, Dakota (Montana) Procter of Jefferson City, Sierra Procter of Henley; great-grandchildren: Rylee, Jackson, Avery, Tristen, Ellie and Leonard "Leo" Bashore; brother Art Roark and sister Zelma Tellman both of Henley.

He was preceded in death by sisters: Frances Therkelson and Jackie Nilges; and brothers: Earl "Bud", Elba "Ammonette", Luther, James, Maynard and Charles Roark.

A Celebration of Cecil's Life will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Bogey's, Eugene, Mo.

Arrangements for Mr. Roark are under the direction of TYLER M. WOODS FUNERAL DIRECTOR, 611 E. Capitol Ave. Jefferson City, Missouri 65101. (573) 636-2424.
