Cecil W. “CW” Talbot

Cecil W. “CW” Talbot, 81, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025.

Born on November 11, 1943, in Columbus, Georgia, Cecil was the beloved son of Cecil W. and Mabel Helen Talbot. He moved to Fort Pierce at a young age and attended Dan McCarty High School. Over the years, he built a respected career working with Turner Machine, Bellsouth, Ru-Mar Inc., and his family business, Talbot Fruit & Cattle Co.

CW was known for his love of motorcycles, classic cars, and the thrill of racing. More than anything, he had a generous heart and a helping spirit. Whether it was a friend, neighbor, or family member in need, CW was always willing to lend a hand.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret C. Talbot; his brother, Wesley Eugene (Verna) Talbot; his children, Cecilia (Tony) Wright of Ocala, FL, Michael (Chryssuola Christie) Talbot of Fort Pierce, FL, and Clara Rebecca (Bill) Strickland of Fort Pierce, FL. He was a proud grandfather to Scott Blackwood, Angela Collins, John Michael Talbot, Kelly Marie Talbot, Kari Eden, Tristan Michael Strickland, and Cari-Anne Strickland, and a cherished great-grandfather to twelve great-grandchildren.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy Beatrice Campbell.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, Florida.
