Cecile Ida Beeler

Cecile Ida (Dion) Beeler, 89, of Enfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025. Born in Easthampton, MA on February 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Yvette (Blais) Dion. Cecile grew up in Easthampton before settling in Enfield, where she made her home for most of her life.

In her younger years, Cecile enjoyed roller skating, and it was during one of her many circles around the rink that she met the love of her life, Gordon Beeler, who was serving in the U.S. Air Force. They shared 60 wonderful years of marriage until Gordie's passing in 2014.

Cecile's life was filled with simple joys and deep devotion to her family. She loved baking, playing the piano, solving crossword puzzles, dancing, visiting the ocean, and savoring her favorite treat-maple walnut ice cream and orange soda. Her kindness, warmth, and gentle humor touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She leaves behind three children: Daniel Beeler of Tucson, AZ; Linda Doyon and her husband John of Enfield; and Cynthia Beeler and her husband Morgan Stair of Westford, MA. She was a proud memere to Brittany and Joseph Doyon, and Emerson and Graham Stair. Cecile is also survived by her siblings Delores Guerrin of Agawam; George Dion of Northampton, MA; Carole LaLiberte of Easthampton, MA; and Richard Dion of Tennessee; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings Gilbert Dion and Evelyn Dion.

Cecile's family will receive friends and family on Saturday, December 20, from 9:30–10:30 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, with a funeral home service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Hazardville Cemetery.
