Cecile Marie Breault

Cecile Marie Breault, a longtime area resident, passed away Friday January 23, 2026, with her family at her side.

Born in Paquetville, Quebec on August 17, 1936, she was one of 14 children to the late Philippe and Bertha (Audette) Carrier. Cecile was 89 years old.

On August 28, 1954, in Paquetville, Cecile married Germain Jospeh Breault, who predeceased her on June 11, 2023.

Cecile was educated in Paquetville and loved to sew and crotchet, she was most proud that her family just made 5 generations, with the birth of her great great-grandson.

Survivors include her children, Raymond Breault (Deborah), Gilles Breault (Debbie), Suzan Cross (Michael) and Angel Cherrier (Gary) as well as her grandchildren, Rahel Moyer (Peter), Rebecca Breault (Beau Kenyon), Michelle Patnode (Ben), Megan Cross, and Amanda Cherrier and 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson.

Cecile is also survived by her siblings, Real Richard (Annette), Marcelle Viens (Paul), Gerald Richard, Diane Paré (Pierre), Andre Richard (Martha), Roger Richard, Pauline Richard and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, Bertha and stepfather, Joseph Richard, father, Philippe Carrier, and husband, Germain, Cecile was predeceased by her daughter, Janet Breault, siblings, Regina Carrier, Amedee Carrier, Claude Richard, Lucielle Lemire, Denise Richard and Marcel Richard and in-laws, Patricia Breault, Lucien, Alcide, Gertrude, Romeo, Roland, Albert, Clement, Gisele and Carmen.

Services will be held this summer at a time to be announced.

Cecile's family asks that memorials in her name be made to the Franklin County Animal Rescue, 30 Sunset Meadow, St. Albans, Vermont 05478.
