Beloved sister and aunt

LOWELL-Mary P. (Weir) Breault, 94, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 22, 2026, following an extended illness. She was the beloved wife of the late George J. Breault who died in 1993. Mary was born in Lowell on March 14, 1931, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Higgins) Weir. She attended the Lowell Schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School. She furthered her education at the University of Lowell (UMASS Lowell). Mary was employed for over 43 years at the Lowell Shoe Company, retiring as the office payroll supervisor. She was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church and was president of the Irish American Club of Lowell. Mary enjoyed traveling to Ireland with her sister Carol and friends. She liked going to the beach and enjoyed bowling for many years. Mary was known as a very caring person and was always looking out for others.

Mary is survived by her sister Carol A. Sniegoski and her husband Bob of Ayer, MA; many nieces and nephews, including Kevin, Scott, Melissa, Erin, Ryan, Meghan, John, Jim, and Diane. Mary was the sister of the late Jim Weir, John Weir, and June Sodre, and aunt of the late John Sodre and the late Helene Martel. Mary was also an aunt to many in the Breault and Sarault families.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND MARY'S CALLING HOURS ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 28, 2026, FROM 3PM UNTIL 5 PM AT THE FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL. MARY'S FUNERAL WILL BEGIN ON THURSDAY MORNING AT 9 AM FROM THE FUNERAL HOME, FOLLOWED BY HER FUNERAL MASS AT 10 AM AT ST. MARGARET'S CHURCH, 374 STEVENS ST. LOWELL. HER BURIAL WILL FOLLOW IN ST. PATRICK'S CEMETERY, LOWELL.
