Cecilia Swain Eubanks, 61, of Beaufort, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday, December 17th at Munden Funeral Home.
Cecilia was born on March 20, 1962, in Morehead City, NC, to the late Cecil L. Swain and Hazel L. Swain. Growing up in Beaufort, she graduated from East Carteret High School where she was a proud drummer with the Marching Mariners with the Class of 1980. Cecilia’s hard work and exceptional leadership skills were seen throughout her career as the ABC Store Manager where she worked for over 17 years.
Cecilia led a fulfilling and accomplished life, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and compassion. She possessed a warm and nurturing nature that touched the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Richard D. Eubanks Jr.; daughter, Amanda Eubanks and husband Lloyd Salter of Washington, NC and Kaci Nisson and partner Matthew McCourt of Mt. Laurel, NJ; son, Scott Eubanks and wife Allison of Maynardville, TN; grandchildren, Collin Eubanks, Makinzee Eubanks, and Gwendolyn Nisson; sister-in-law, Valerie Swain of Greenport, NY; and nephews, Louis and Matthew Swain of Greenport, NY.
In addition to her parents, Cecilia was preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil L. Swain Jr. and Louis C. Swain.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
