William Lloyd Davis, 73, went to be with the Lord on Friday night, March 7, 2025.
Preceding him in death were his father, Lloyd Gray Davis, and his mother, Irene Powers Davis, of Davis, NC and Crab Point, NC.
Surviving is his sister, Melba Ruth Davis Willis of Harkers Island, and his three nephews, Kerry W. Willis (Kim), Billy Joe Willis (Lori), and Stephen Gray Willis (Lisa) and their families.
William grew up on Davis Shore, NC, graduating from East Carteret High School. Later in life he moved with his aging parents to Crab Point, NC. He worked at Sanitary Restaurant and Harbor View Nursing Home. He most recently lived at the Ekklesia Village in Morehead City.
William was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Beaufort, NC. He loved his church. He spent lots of time playing pool with his community of friends at the Leon Mann, Jr. Enrichment Senior Citizen Center in Morehead City, NC. He was an avid fan of the North Carolina Tarheels, the Green Bay Packers, and the Boston Red Sox.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church, 1947 Live Oak Street, Beautfort, NC. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. led by Pastor Richard Patterson and William’s nephews.
