Ceci was always the energetic spark that lit up any room she walked into. She loved her family, music, and sharing her delicious tamales with anyone who wanted one. In her early years, Ceci played drums with her brother in- law and a family friend. You could always find her dancing, singing and making everyone laugh. In her later years, Ceci could be found playing bingo at the VFW, or at the casino pressing her luck. She was a true believer in her Catholic faith and many came to her for healing prayers for the young and old. Her faith helped her be strong and fight a courageous battle until the very end.
She was preceded in death by her mother Maria De Jesus "Chita" Fierro and two brothers Manuel and Jesus "Chacho" Monclova.
She is survived by a brother Carlos (Josefina) Monclova, Two sisters Anselma (Damasio) Velasquez, and Olga (Jose) Campuzano. Her life partner Jorge Castillo, her two sons, Michael Fierro and Paul Leyva, her daughters, Adela Nuñez and Victoria Hernandez, 10 Grand children and 12 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who became family.
A rosary will be held on Saturday July, 26th at St Mary's Catholic Church in Farmington at 10:30am with a mass following at 11:00am. There will be a lunch following mass in the Parish Hall. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Cecilia, please visit our Tree Store.
