Cecilia Ann Lucas

Cecilia A. Lucas (Mrs. CC), 73, went home to be with the Lord November 2, 2025 at her residence, after battling a brief illness. She was a faithful member of Southfield Missionary Baptist Church, serving on the Deaconess Board and a Mother of the church. Retired from Kroger after 20+ years of service. A lifetime member of the VFW Post 3764 of Columbus, Ohio. and Esther Chapter No 3, Order of the Eastern Star, PHA, Columbus, Ohio. Cecilia was a 1972 graduate of Columbus Evening High School, also in 1972 she received a Diploma from MATA College in Key Punch and later attended Kaplan Collage in 2013, receiving a diploma as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist.
Cecilia was born June 5, 1952, to the proud parents of John Reeves and Lillian M. Jackson. She is predeceased by her husband William H. Lucas III, father John Reeves, mother Lillian M. Jackson, stepfather Robert D. Jackson, grandfather Melvin Reed Jr., grandmother Virginia L. Reed, sister Vanessa A. Reeves, great grandson Taylan L. Vivens, nephew Emanuel L. Reeves, cousins Russell, James, Timothy and Robin Baker.
She leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters Eyvette J. Owens and Nichole Collins, 1 son Harold E. (Teneka) Owens Jr., bonus daughters Tonya & Regina Lucas, one brother Kenneth (Brenda) Reeves Sr., thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Cecilia was a helping hand in raising three of her granddaughters Lanette, Virginia and Danillia Owens.
