Cecilia Maria Rodriquez

In loving memory of Cecilia Maria Rodriquez who passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Cecilia was born on February 5, 1953, in Sanderson, Texas, to the late Polo Rodriquez and Maria de la Luz Rodriquez.

Cecilia worked for the Wylie School District for over 25 years and owned her own business cleaning homes and offices for many years. She was known for her hard work, funny stories, and giving heart. She was a devout catholic and when not working you would find her at church. She was part of the choir at Holy Family Catholic Church. Cecilia was preceded by her parents, Polo Rodriquez and Maria de la Luz Rodriguez, two sisters Mary Valadez and Blanche Martin.

Survivors include her children, a daughter, Dena Thorne and husband Jason, a son Anthony Burrola and wife Darby. Three grandchildren Sophia Burrola, Taylor Burrola and Orson Burrola. She is also survived by a sister, Rosalie Ture, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation/Rosary will be held at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy. 277 S, Abilene, Texas, on April 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 837 Jeanette, Abilene on April 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
