Cecilia Sanchez, age 93, born in Carrizozo, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on June 1, 2025. Cecilia survived by several loving family members, her children, Genevieve Valencia and husband, Paul, Peggy Chavez and husband, Melcor, Nancy Sanchez and husband, George Cordero, and Lawrence Sanchez; grandchildren, Elena Valencia Large, Enrique Valencia and wife, Kristy, Margarita Chavez-Sanchez and husband, Jared, Angelica Bollotta and husband, Patrick; great-grandchildren, Simone Large, Savanna Large, Dominic Valencia, Victoria Sanchez, Luna Sanchez, Giovanni Bollotta, Santino Bollotta, Isabella Bollota, Daniela Bollotta; a great-great-grandson on the way; sisters, Rita Prudencio and Grace Vigil; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Serito Sanchez, parents, Philimon and Salome Lopez, and several siblings. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 9:15 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church 5712 Paradise Blvd NW with a Rosary to be recited at 9:45 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE where Mrs. Sanchez will be laid to rest with her husband, Serito Sanchez. Pallbearers will be, Melcor Chavez, George Cordero, Enrique Valencia, Elena Valencia, Margarita Chavez-Sanchez, Angelica Bollotta, and Paul Pino. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Valencia, Marvin Sanchez, Francine Pena and David Mirabal.
