Anthony Castillo, 64, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Albuquerque in 1961 to Abenago and Corina Castillo, Anthony grew up in the South Valley. Throughout his life, family was always at the center of his life.
Anthony was always on the move—trucking, towing, and buying and selling. His dedication and work ethic were a testament to the deep love he held for his family.
Anthony’s warmth, generosity, and spirit will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Abenago and Corina Castillo, and his son, Anthony (AJ) Castillo.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Yolanda Castillo; his children, Candice Castillo, Miles Castillo, Alexandra Castillo, Stephanie Castillo, and stepson Adam Salas; his grandchildren, Neveah and Analise Torres, Mariah and Anthony (AJ) Lucero, and Sharla Rae Montoya; his siblings, Eloy Castillo, Ivan Castillo and his wife Esther, and Linda Gallegos and her husband Alfonso; numerous nieces and nephews; and so many other close family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ivan Castillo, Charles Montoya, Jessie Castillo, Adam Salas, Alfonso Gallegos, and Leroy Gonzales
Honorary pallbearers will be Eloy Castillo, Jerry Aragon, and Tino Trujillo
Services will be held as follows:
• Viewing: Friday, September 12, at 6:00 p.m. at Trujillo Family Funeral Home, 110 Alvarado Dr SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
• Rosary and Mass: Monday, September 15, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. Rosary will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 9:00 a.m.
• Burial: Monday, September 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
• Reception: Following the burial at Holy Family Parish Hall.
