Cecilia Vargas

It is with great sorrow the Vargas family announces the passing of our kind, brave, caring wife, mother, and grandmother Cecilia Vargas (76). She passed away peacefully on November 21, 2023, with her family lovingly by her side. She was born on December 18, 1946 to Maria and Tereso Ramirez in San Antonio, Texas. Shortly thereafter her family moved to Arizona where she grew up in Chandler.
She is survived by her husband Marcelo Vargas, and three children Marcelo Vargas, Jr., Amelia Vargas, and Lorenzo R. Vargas.
She is also survived by her three grandchildren Victoria Serrano, Christian Guadalupe Anderson, and Alexander Gabriel Anderson.
She was a beautiful person inside and out. She had the biggest heart, and her smile was so radiant it would light up the whole room. She cared deeply for the people around her and she was so kind and passionate. She made an impact on many lives and will be remembered by the many lives she touched.
She was loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and with her angel baby Ernesto "Ernie", her mother, and brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at St. George's Catholic Church, 300 E. 16th Ave, Apache Junction, Arizona, 85119 on Thursday, November 30th from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm with Mass beginning at 12:30 pm. Burial will be at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, Arizona, 85207 at 2:00 pm.
