Cedric Booker

Cedric Jerome Booker, affectionately known as "Ced and Green" by all who loved him, departed this life on October 13, 2025. Born on November 11, 1971, he was the beloved son of the late David C. Johnson and Noel B. Johnson.
Cedric accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church. He dedicated many years of service to Westover Dairy, where he was known for his hard work and warm spirit.
A passionate 49ers fan, Cedric was the heart of every cookout and family
gathering-always behind the grill, serving up love through his cooking. His greatest joy was preparing meals for his mother, sisters, and extended family. Cedric's love for sports and travel was matched only by his loyalty and kindness. If you knew Ced, you knew you had a lifelong friend and brother-unwavering, genuine, and full of heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, David C. Johnson; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Johnson; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Jessie Booker; uncles Wayne and Kenneth Johnson; aunt Irene Booker; and brother-in-law Troy Roberson.
Cedric leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his devoted mother, Noel B. Johnson; five sisters: Shunta (Duane) Morgan, Tracy Roberson, Sharon (Lucas) Pannell, Sheila Johnson, and Lanikka Johnson-all of Appomattox, VA; four nieces: Bridgette, Tiarra, Taniya, and Charlie; six nephews: Marquise, Tromontez, Mason, Lucas Jr., Logan, and Landon, great nephew: Ky'Leir, two uncles, Sylvester Booker (Bea) and Jerry Booker; three aunts, and a host of cherished family members and friends.
Cedric was truly full of life and loved deeply. His warmth, humor, and compassion touched everyone he met. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, 2 p.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 14287 Richmond Highway, Appomattox, VA. Public viewing will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
