Cedric Vance Old Crow

Cedric "Ceddy" Vance Old Crow, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday January 18, 2026. Cedric was born to Newton Vance Old Crow Jr. and Arna Georgette Wilkinson Old Crow. His Crow name was Baalakàlate Xiassaash "Good At All Things" given to him by Jerome White Hip. Cedric was born and raised in Crow Agency, Montana.

Cedric attended school in Crow Agency and Hardin, Montana. He was expected to graduate this year with the Hardin High School Class of 2026. Cedric was loved and admired more than his parents and family knew. After his passing, his family said that it was as if he lived a double life. Stories of all the people he helped, young and old, people he had left a lasting impression on. Stories of his random acts of kindness and acts of service. Cedric had achieved many personal accomplishments. Most recently he got his drivers license, he was looking forward to graduating high school. He had plans of attending welding school in Bismarck, North Dakota. He was always in contact with his uncle Cedric Wilkinson, who inspired him to become a welder. Along with his brother Brennon and grandfather Arnold who were excellent welder as well. At the very young age of 2 years old, Cedric longed to be a husband and a father. He was said to have asked every girl and teacher in his daycare to marry him. Though none accepted his proposal, that did not discourage him from asking every girl and teacher in Headstart. He had already set his wedding date for June 13. Those close to him described him as fearless and determined. He excelled at everything he did, truly living up to the Crow name given to him at a young age. One of his many achievements was playing guitar. He was inspired to play guitar after watching his older brother Norman. He learned from watching Norman and YouTube videos until he perfected songs he wanted to learn. When he was about 8 years old, he first learned to play "Happy Birthday" and played it at almost every family birthday party.

Cedric was the youngest uncle of the family for 8 years. He loved spending time with his nephews Aiden "Otis", Uriah, Isaiah "Zaynay", Kacey and Marv. They loved to ride horses, enjoyed going fishing, hunting, swimming and getting into mischief. Cedric was most known for his humor, he loved to make people laugh. He had a special gift to talk to anyone and form friendships. He made a lasting impression on everyone he encountered, young and old. He was never bashful, always comfortable with himself and was never afraid of anyone or anything. No one was a stranger to Ceddy. Cedric met and fell in love with Bianca Chevalier. He invited Bianca into the Old Crow family, where she was welcomed with open arms. The young couple shared their hopes and dreams with one another, supporting and encouraging one another, creating a true friendship.

Cedric was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Bad Bear Wilkinson. Paternal grandfather Newton Old Crow Sr., paternal grandmother, Adella Spotted Horse. God parents/paternal grandparents, Paul and Joy Matt. Sisters, Deona Old Crow, Zoey Not Afraid and Selena Not Afraid.

Cedric leaves behind his parents, Newton Old Crow, Jr. and Georgette Old Crow, grandfather, Arnold Wilkinson, grandmothers, Catherine Old Crow, Sharon Johnson, his girlfriend Bianca Chevalier, brothers: Brennon (Lorita) Old Crow, Gabriel "Norman" (Alexa) Old Crow, Tim (Tasha) Smells, Bill (Olive) Smells, Nathan Rides Horse, Lane Rides Horse, Theron Not Afraid, Preston Old Crow, Ross Caplett, Kendall Old Elk, Jonathan Pretty On Top, Evan Pretty On Top, Sam Carlson.
