Ceferino Sales

Ceferino, also called Jojo, was born on August 25, 1952, in Lucena City, Philippines. He left the Philippines in 1981 to seek a better life and settled in Chicago, where he met his devoted wife, Norma Nicolas. He was a hard-working immigrant and gained numerous experiences working at Hyatt Hotels and Zebra Technologies. He was very proud of his daughter, Joy, who received her PhD in history from Northwestern University in 2019. He was a humorous storyteller, a jolly singer, a skilled cook of Filipino cuisine, and a lover of food, especially croissants, burgers, and French bread. He was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Sales. He is survived by his wife, Norma Nicolas; his children, Joy, Joan, Joyce, and Jean; his sister, Alice; and his niece, Yoly, and nephew, PJ. Also, he has many fond family and friends in Chicago, the Philippines, Canada, and London.
Visitation Friday, October 25th, 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Colonial Wojciechowski Funeral Home 8025 W. Golf Rd. Niles, IL. 60714.
Funeral Saturday, October 26th, starting with at 9:00 am prayers from the funeral home, proceeding to St. John Brebeuf Catholic Church. Mass 10:00 am. Cremation will be private following mass. More Information 847-581-0536.
