Raymond "Skipp" Sales, age 66, of Daly City, California, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at UCSF Medical Center.
Born on September 30, 1958, in San Francisco, Ray was the beloved son of Pelagia and Eugene Sales. He grew up in San Francisco Bay Area, where his roots and family connections remained close to his heart throughout his life.
In the early 1980s, Ray attended City College of San Francisco before beginning his longtime career as an arborist with Asplundh Tree Company. His dedication to his work reflected his strong character, commitment, and being of service to others.
Ray carried a deep passion for the game of football and was a die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan. He also cheered on the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco Giants with the same enthusiasm. Beyond sports, Ray enjoyed good food, laughter, and-above all-spending meaningful time with his family. Known for his amazing sense of humor and warm, positive presence, he had a way of lighting up any room he entered.
Ray's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving children, Rachel and Jerold, and his cherished grandson, Eli. While his absence leaves a profound void, there is comfort in knowing that Ray is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife, Edith, and his parents, Eugene and Pelagia.
Ray will be remembered as a devoted father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend. His spirit, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
