Larry Cutts Sales, age 83, of Numa, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Centerville Specialty Care.
Larry was born on March 10, 1942, the son of Paul and Pansy Pearl (Matherly) Sales. He joined the United States Army on November 15, 1963. Larry served his country faithfully, serving over two years overseas during the Vietnam Era. He was a soldier specializing in operating and maintaining armored vehicles, and was honorably discharged on November 14, 1969. In September of 1968, Larry was united in marriage to Donna L. McNally. To this union, three children were born, John, Mark and Mitzi.
Larry worked in factories throughout his life. He enjoyed his home life in Numa. You could often find Larry cutting wood to keep his wood stove running, mowing his lawn, listening to Christian music, reading his Bible and watching the Victory channel.
Left to honor Larry's memory are his son, Mark (Melissa) Sales; his grandchildren, Michael Stark, Jesse Stark, Luke Sales, James Sales, Shelby Sales and Beau Mills; his siblings, Bill Sales and Jim (Carol) Sales; his sisters-in-law, Marie Sales, Helen Sales and Burneta Sales; as well as several extended family members.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Sales on January 16, 2023; his parents, Paul and Pearl Sales; his in-laws, Robert and Dalia McNally; his son, John Sales; his step daughter, Mitzi Stone; and his siblings, Claude Sales, Ira Lee Sales, Pauline Wignal, Ronald Sales and Donald Sales.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be announced the in the future. Memorials can be written to Mark Sales, to be used towards final expenses, and may be mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN Sales Family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
