Jack Lee Jellison

Jack Lee Jellison, (age 72) of Allerton, Iowa, passed away at his home on Tuesday October 7th, 2025.
Jack was born to Halga and Mildred (Langloss) Jellison in Unionville, Missouri on July 24th, 1953. He was the youngest of 5 siblings by a gap of 13 years. He grew up on the family farm outside of Powersville, Missouri with his parents. They moved to Allerton the summer before his 8th grade year. He attended Wayne Community High School, graduating with the class of 1971.
After graduation he met Betty Miller at IMO Christian Service Camp outside of Bloomfield. When they first met Jack said God told him that Betty would be his wife. They were married on June 1st, 1973. Through this union they were blessed with two children, Jennifer and Jamie.
Jack worked at Voltmaster for 33 years starting October 1972. He left briefly to work for his Amish friends for a couple of years. He returned to East Penn for another 10 years officially retiring in January of 2016. He continued rebuilding and selling cars up until he passed.
Jack enjoyed many things in life, from reading, working on his mustangs, hunting, watching John Wayne movies or just working on projects in the shop. There was nothing Jack couldn't fix. His favorite way to spend time was with his family and friends talking and telling stories. Jack loved sitting at their dining room table with his family, or in the living room playing with his grandchildren.
Jack is survived by his wife Betty, children; Jennifer Jellison, Jamie (Alitha) Jellison. Grandchildren, Draven (Cortnee) Jellison, Ryder Jellison, and Rayley Jellison. Great-grandson, Dutton Jellison. Sister, Melvena Stewart, sister-in-law, Rexine Jellison and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Halga and Mildred Jellison; siblings, Merlin Jellison, Garold (Pauline) Jellison, Donald (Virginia) Jellison and infant sister Norma Jean Jellison; brother-in-law, Raymond Stewart and in-laws Bill and Bonnie Miller.
Funeral Services for Jack will be held Friday, October 17, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon, IA at 10:30 AM with burial to follow at Shriver Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 5:00 Pm to 7:00 PM at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Memorial in honor of Jack may be made out to The Family of Jack Jellison to be determined at a later date and mailed to Thomas Funeral Home Attn: Jellison Family 303 E. Jefferson Corydon, IA 50060.
