Celeste R. Soucy

SABATTUS- Celeste Soucy, 76, of Sabattus passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 after a long illness with her loving family by her side. She was born in Old Town, Maine, on March 21, 1949, a daughter of the late Dorothy (Moody) Coburn.

Celeste and her loving husband, Florian, spent over 50 wonderful years together. She consistently offered unwavering support to her children and husband-always present, helpful, attentive, guiding, imparting wisdom, and eventually taking on the role of caregiver for her husband later in life. She enjoyed quality time with family, friends like her potluck group, and her

German Shepherds. She was a gifted artist, enjoyed decorating and could have been a hairdresser because she was always styling family & friends' hair. We will always remember her blue eyes and bright smile and kind nature. She will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Morrison and her husband Jeff of DeLeon Springs, FL, Lisa Abernathy and her husband Tommy of Calhoun, GA; her brother Frank Durette of Lewiston, her sister Rita Wine of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Jack Morrison, Michael Morrison and his wife Stephanie, and Aleigha Abernathy; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, four sisters and one brother.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 11-1pm at Albert & Burpee Funeral Home in Lewiston, followed by a Liturgy of the Word at 1pm, also at the funeral home. Flowers are welcomed.
