Celia Calderon Herrera

Celia Calderon-Herrera, 86, passed away February 23, 2024 in her Muhlenberg Township residence.
Born in Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Francisco Calderon and Maria Guadalupe Herrera.
Celia was the loving wife of the Manuel Santoyo Jimenez, with whom she celebrated forty plus years of marriage before his passing.
She was an activate member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Celia is survived by her children, Rosa Mercedes, Alicia Santoyo Calderon, Jesus Santoyo Calderon, Manuel Santoyo Calderon, Rosa Santoyo Calderon, Patricio Santoyo Calderon, Lorena Santoyo Calderon, Lupe Santoyo Calderon, and Martha Santoyo Calderon. She is also survived by her 31 grandchildren, Fernando, Ruben, Eva, Araceli, Juan, Marco Antonio, Celia, Gina, Jose, Maria, Jesus, Manuel, Araceli, Jazmin, Jordan, Marlene, Ivan, Antonio, Raul, Jesus, Armando, Patricio, Maria Iveta, Thalia, Luis, Daniel, Jacqueline, Angie, and Issac.
She is predeceased by her two children, Francisco Santoyo Calderon and Antonio Santoyo Calderon; and grandson, Juan Manuel Vigil Santoyo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 1, 2024, at 10 a.m. in St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 322 S 5th St, Reading, PA 19602 with burial to follow at Laureldale Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday, February 29, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560 and Friday, March 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
