RODGERS: A Service honoring the Life and Essence of Mrs. Celia Alice Rodgers of Jonesboro, Georgia will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, Georgia; Bishop Collier Starks, officiant and Eulogist. Interment, private. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving children, Cecelia Rodgers of Trenton, New Jersey, Patricia Tarver of Jonesboro, Georgia, Bernard (Ina) Rodgers of Jonesboro, Georgia, Raynard (MaryAnn) Coward of Hampton, Georgia, Kirby (Berlinda) Coward of Riverdale, Georgia, Joffery (Latoya) Coward of McDonough, Georgia, Mia (OC) Pride of Riverdale, Georgia, Willie (Sharon) Rodgers of Riverdale, Georgia, and Lisa Rodgers of Jonesboro, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Minister Gwendolyn Rodgers of Summerville, South Carolina; thirty grandchildren, fifty-one great grandchildren; her siblings, Marvin (Wil) Rodgers of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, McArthur Rodgers of Clinton, Maryland, George (Bettie) Rodgers of Mitchellville, Maryland, Mary Chatman of Capitol Heights, Maryland, and Eunice(William)Ricks of Fort Washington, Maryland; two sisters-in-law, Rosia Rodgers of Washington, DC and Martha Rodgers of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the chapel at 12:30 p.m.
