Celia Weitzman Obituary

Preceded in death by parents Todres and Etka Polonetzky, and husband Pincus Weitzman. Celia is survived by her daughters, Elaine (Ron) Gross, Barbara Weitzman, and Sharon (Martin) Watssman; grandchildren, Lianne Swann, David (Alana) Watssman, Theo Watssman, Jeremy (Allison Redfearn) Watssman, Nathan (Riley) Searls, and Joey (Aidon) Searls; and great-grandchildren, Anastasia, Sinead, Freya, Sophie, Jamie, Joshua, and Eleanor; Brother Hymie (Sharon) Polon and many nephews and nieces.
Celia was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, was married to her childhood sweetheart Pincus for 65 years. They raised three daughters, moved to Israel and later moved to Minnesota. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She knitted, sewed, baked, cooked and taught her children to do the same. She made every Jewish holiday special. She was always the caring mom and took care of her husband as he ailed and survived him with a strength of spirit even as her health deteriorated.
