Cellena Erett Cox passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 71. She was born September 8, 1953 to Orester Tipp and Bessie Reus Tipp. Entrepreneur, florist, and horse race enthusiast, Cellena lived a fulfilling life serving others and doing what she did best, flowers. She was our florist, our wedding coordinator, our funeral director, and most importantly our friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Joshua Cox, daughter, Amelia Eddins, sisters, Marian Tipp, and Elizabeth Sims.
Cellena is preceded in death by her father, Orester Tipp, mother, Bessie Reus Tipp, aunt, Mary Reus Smith, sister, Paulette Merchant and granddaughter Caroline Eddins.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 1st at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Please dress in your Kentucky Derby best in honor of Cellena finishing her race.
