Charles Webb Hobby was born in Mobile, Alabama, on August 23, 1947, and passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles Clay and Anna Mavis Hobby; his sister, Ann Hodges; and his beloved wife, Theresa M. Hobby. He is survived by his son, Thomas David Scott (Catherine) of Daphne, Alabama; his sister, Sarah Barnes of Andalusia, Alabama; grandchildren: Jo Scott (Rebecca) of Midlothian, Virginia, and Stephen Scott of Daphne, Alabama; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles was an avid bass fisherman and loved Alabama football. He loved spending time with his many special friends who will miss him dearly. Throughout his lifetime, Charles worked for the Scott Paper Company and the Kimberly Clark Company for many years.
The visitation will be on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, Alabama. The funeral will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. with a burial and military honors at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
