Cesar Cruz Jr.

It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Cesar Cruz Jr., a native of Rhode Island and beloved son of the late Beatrice (Pelletier) Cruz and Cesar Cruz Sr. He lived a life marked by love, resilience, and a passion for dance.

He is survived by his loving children, Cesar Cruz III and Rachel Cruz; his son-in-law, Fernando Jeronimo; his cherished grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews. He also shared a deep bond with his companion, Marie Saccucci, as well as her children and grandchildren, who embraced him as family.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary (Dunn) Cruz; his brother, Randall Cruz; and his nephew, Richard Cruz.

A proud veteran, he served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War attaining the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, he earned a Bachelor's Degree from Bryant College and built a long career with the United States Postal Service. He further enriched his life by obtaining a license in Massage Therapy and certification in Reflexology.

Cesar's greatest passion was dance-an art form that would remain a lifelong joy. Self-taught as a teenager, his talent led to appearances on the Dave Senate Show. He mastered many dance styles; his "smoking feet" and infectious enthusiasm lit up every room, and he found joy in teaching others. Known for his easygoing nature and signature corny jokes, he also had a deep love for astronomy and the stars, often gazing upward in quiet wonder.

Despite his battle with Parkinson's and Dementia, Cesar faced each day with courage and grace, a testament to his enduring strength of character. His spirit remained unbroken, and he continued to inspire those around him with his unwavering positivity and gentle demeanor.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will be private.

Cesar's presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever dance in our hearts.
