Cesar Alejandro Luna passed away on June 15, 2025, after complications from surgery. He was 50 years old. Cesar was born on October 1, 1974, in Los Angeles, California, to Margarita and Salvador Luna. Raised in Los Angeles, Cesar moved to Boise, Idaho in 1993, where he built a life with his spouse Michelle Stankiewicz and son Mathew. Cesar is survived by his beloved son, Mathew Luna; his parents, Margarita and Salvador Luna; and his siblings: Ricardo Luna and family, Cecilia Luna, Eduardo Luna and family, Salvador Luna Jr., Catalina Yates and family, and Mariana Luna. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Maria De Jesus Solis.
Cesar was a devoted father, a loving son and brother, and a friend to many. He had a passion for life and a generous heart, always ready to lend a hand with things like building a shed, pouring concrete, laying flooring, or simply helping with dinner and dishes. He was incredibly sharp and a true jack of all trades - flying cranes, framing houses, DJing weddings, and even dealing cards at the local poker house. His talents were many, and his willingness to share them with others was endless.
Cesar was a loyal Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and recently had the unforgettable opportunity to attend a game with his son, an experience he called his favorite trip ever. He also loved the outdoors and treasured weekends spent camping with family, crabbing and fishing, and teaching his nieces and nephews how to shoot. No family gathering was complete without Cesar at the grill. Whether it was smoked pork or his famous Traeger pizza, he took great pride in his cooking and in bringing people together.
Cesar's warmth, humor, and selflessness will be deeply missed. His legacy lives on in the memories of those who loved him, the laughter he shared, and the lives he touched.
