Cesaria M. "Susie" Babyak, 90, formerly of Slatington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Mrs. Bush's Personal Care, Kunkletown. She was the wife of the late Thomas Babyak, Sr., who passed away in 2019. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Jose A. and Mary (Muniz) Garcia. Susie worked for the former Paris Neckware for many years. She was a faithful parishioner of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington, where she was an usher and member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Susie enjoyed bowling many years at the Hungarian Club, Palmerton.
She will be lovingly remembered by a daughter: Cindy and husband Joe Sander of Slatington; son: Joseph Babyak and wife Liz of Whitehall; grandchildren: Amanda Maehrer, Nicholas Sander, Whitney Kern, Chris Sander, Ben Babyak; great-grandchildren: Marissa, Lexi, Moira, Nathaniel, Nolan, Abigail. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Babyak, Jr., grandson, Jason Hahn, and sister, Jean Pocalyko.
A Mass of Christian of Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington Street, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM Tuesday at church. Interment to follow Mass at the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Assumption BVM Memorial Fund. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
