Chad Bristow Obituary
Chad enjoyed watching and playing sports. From the basketball court to the bowling alley to the golf course, Chad excelled at everything he played. As a skilled and avid golfer all his life, Chad had many amazing rounds. After countless close calls, he finally recorded a hole in one at his local golf course Surrey Hills in 2018.
Chad was a loving husband and devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He lived his life rooted in love for his family. He also had a large circle of friends that lovingly referred to him as "Hoot." When he wasn't cheering on his kids at their many events and activities, you could find him watching a documentary on the history channel or rooting on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and the OKC Thunder.
Chad is survived by his wife and partner of 21 years, Kara and their children; Brynn, Kenley, Ryker, and niece Harper Lewis, mother; Jane Bristow, sister; Allison Lewis, nephews Colson Cantley and Keegan Lewis, all of Yukon, OK. Also, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chad is preceded in death by his father; Harold Bristow, grandparents; Edna and Raymond Klaffke and Herbert and Ola Bristow.
His life will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2026 at Coal Creek Event Center, 210 N. Sara Rd., Tuttle, OK 73089.

Hoot provided many, many, many laughs back when we were in high school at the many parties we would go to at random houses or in a field. He was just a really great guy. I remember when we were at one of Des´s daughter´s birthday parties years ago, my little boy was one of the only boys there & he got super shy & wouldn´t play with any of the kids. Hoot noticed this after a while & came to chat with my kid. I can´t remember what he said, but he had my kid grinning ear to ear & got him playing & having fun. And that was Hoot in a nutshell. You may not remember what he said, but you will always remember how he made you feel. And those memories will always bring a smile to my face. Rest easy now my friend, your work here is done.
