Chad Allen Butler

Chad Allen Butler, 49, of Bartlesville, OK, passed away on August 10, 2025. Born August 31, 1975, in Oklahoma, Chad was the son of Judy Durant Bain and Phillip Butler. He grew up surrounded by family, sharing a close bond with his brother, Jody, and enjoying time with both sets of grandparents. A 1993 graduate of Broken Bow High School, Chad excelled in academics and football, earning a full scholarship to the University of Oklahoma, where he became a member of the RUF-NEKS. It was there he met Shelly Blanke, the future mother of his children. Chad Allen Butler was a devoted father to Cade Butler, Cameron Butler, and Zackery Butler. He loved coaching football teams, spending seven years coaching Cade's youth team. As Cade grew older, he coached alongside his dad for many more seasons, sharing the sidelines and a deep love for the game. With Cameron, Chad especially enjoyed attending concerts, sharing music, and creating lasting memories together. With Zack, Chad loved playing backyard football, shooting hoops, and sharing plenty of laughs and playful moments. Zack's deep dive into faith moved Chad, it challenged and inspired him. The kids loved watching OU football together with their dad, a passion that became a constant thread in their lives. Chad's faith was the foundation of his life, he actively pursued the Lord, spoke openly about salvation, and guided those around him toward a deeper relationship with Christ. The family made their home in Norman and later Oklahoma City before settling in Bartlesville in 2002. Chad earned his bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology from Rogers State University in 2006 and began his career as a Data Configuration Analyst at ABB, where he worked until his passing. He is survived by his children Cade Butler, fiancée Payton Emert; Cameron Butler; and Zackery Butler, and their mother, Shelly Blanke, all of Bartlesville; his mother, Judy Bain of Valliant, OK; brother, Jody Butler, fiancée Cristell Loza, of Dallas, TX; grandmother, Carol Perry; and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Butler; grandparents Marion Butler, Mary Bryant, and William Durant. Funeral services will be held at Stumpff's Funeral Home, Bartlesville, on August 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Graveside services will be at Canfield Cemetery, Idabel, on August 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
