Chad Robert Colburn, 50, of Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on January 16, 2025, following a lengthy and courageous battle with Huntington's Disease.
He was born in Plattsburgh, December 21, 1974, the son of Robert Lee and Joanne Audrey (Recore) Colburn. He grew up in Plattsburgh graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1994.
Chad will be best remembered for his love of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His favorite time spent with friends and family included hunting, fishing, boating and camping. Chad loved sports and participated in football and hockey in his younger years. He shared his love of sports with his boys.
Left to cherish the memory of Chad are, his sons, Cameron, Hayden, Ryan, and Colby; brother and sister-in-law, Casey and Angie Colburn; brother-in-law, Dave Fermoile; and nieces and nephews, Brooklin and Brody Colburn and Mackenzie and Easton Diede.
In addition to his parents, Chad was predeceased by his sister, Chasitity Fermoile; and grandparents, Darwin and Amy Colburn, Francis Recore, and Gertrude Nichols.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 3 to 5 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home to donate or you can contribute online by clicking here In Loving Memory Of Chad.
