Wayne Colburn Sr, age 76, passed away July 22, 2025. First and foremost, Wayne loved the Lord and was a member of the Baptist Church. He served his country in United Sates Marine Corps in Vietnam in 1969 and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a Purple Heart. He received his certificate of retirement after receiving his purple heart. Wayne went on to become a boilermaker following his retirement and worked all over the country that he fought so hard to protect. In his free time, he greatly enjoyed to work on cars, watch football, but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who were honored to know him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hertle and Armetha Colburn; sister Linda Denium; parent-in-laws, JW and Leatha Holland.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Shirley Colburn; children, Debbie (Darrell) Williams and Wayne (Chrissy) Colburn Jr; grandchildren, Daysha (Chris) Shivers, Darrell Jacob (Jana) Williams, Devin (Caitlin) Williams, Tiffany Colburn, Andrea (Dillon) Eubanks, JW (Jasmine) Colburn, Keith (Tabitha) Colburn, Savannah Shoemaker, Shelby Shoemaker, and Joseph Shoemaker; 15 great-grandchildren, siblings, Lee (Sally) Colburn, Bruce Colburn, Kathy Colburn, Robert Colburn; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Moments Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be Monday, July 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Gene Hamilton officiating. Graveside will follow at North Side Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Bruce Colburn, Darrell Jacob Williams, Devin Williams, Chris Shivers, JW Colburn, and Keith Colburn.
