Chad Phillip Croom

Chad Phillip Croom died unexpectedly on January 7, 2022 at SSM St. Anthony Hospital-Midwest. He was born November 20, 1974 and was the son of Dwight P. Croom and Patricia "Patty" Bledsoe Croom. Chad graduated from Choctaw High School, Class of 1993. Following graduation, he worked several different trades as stock room manager at Crest Foods, owned and managed his own vending machine business, was a sales person for Hudiburg Auto Group, a manager of the Professional and Contractor Services at Home Depot, and was an excellent home builder in the metro area. He was a hard worker who was passionate and dedicated to providing his best in all these services. Chad acknowledged and was grateful to Charlie Hartley of Hartley Homes, Inc. for mentoring him in becoming the home builder he was. Chad's other passions in life were gun rights and advocating for gun safety. He also really had a wealth of information about any car around. However, Chad's most important and greatest accomplishments of his life which are his beautiful children, son Trever Croom and daughter Ilia Croom, through his marriage with Helena Capo. His children are his pride and joy, to which he would always talk about with such praise and regard. Chad was preceded in death by his parents: Dwight and Patty Croom, Maternal grandparents: Merle Bledsoe and Mary Stoneburner Bledsoe, his Uncle Ronnie Bledsoe, and niece Ali Croom. He is survived by his two children, Trevor and Ilia Croom, his brother Jonathan Croom, niece Arianna Croom, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and his lifelong school friends, Dr. Arlen Foulks and Vance "Greg" Raymer III. Also, a big thanks and a lot of love goes out to the Croom's lifelong friends, Rick and Debbie Thayer of Choctaw, who have assisted and guided Chad's son, Trevor, through this whole process. Chad was Debbie and Rick's go-to guy when they needed anything and they both loved him as a son. In addition, his beloved husky, Hope, is also mourning his loss. Please help us celebrate Chad's life by sharing a personal memory or message. A Celebration of Life will be held at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home, located at 1820 S. Douglas Blvd., Midwest City, Oklahoma. Pastor Andy Finch will be officiating the Service.
