Chad Dammen

Chad Dammen, 52, Minot, ND, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 in his home.
Chad Allen Dammen was born January 10, 1973, the son of David and Linda (Luck) Dammen, in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1991. Following high school, he worked various maintenance jobs before dedicating his career to the field of HVAC, serving as a skilled technician at Minot Air Force Base. Beyond his professional life, Chad was a devoted father to his two children, Josh and Karlee, who held a special place in his heart.
A man with a deep curiosity, Chad possessed a fascination for all things mechanical. He was obsessed with understanding how things worked, a passion that fueled his avid interest in drag racing. His beloved 1975 Pontiac Firebird was a testament to this love, and he was well-known within the racing community for his expertise and willingness to lend a helping hand to fellow racers.
Chad was a unique and unforgettable character. His love for fabricating and welding showcased his talent and dedication. His enjoyment of rock music and the mosh pit, despite his germophobia, revealed his adventurous spirit. He possessed a hilariously morbid sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes. Above all, Chad was a kind and compassionate man who believed in equality and saw the good in everyone he met.
Chad is survived by his loving parents; his son, Josh (Katie) Holmes, and their children, Hunter, Annabelle, and Dakota; his cherished daughter, Karlee (Haven Belgarde) Dammen; his brothers, Daniel Dammen and Jason (Lauralee) Dammen; his nephew, Carter; and niece, Berklee; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service celebrating Chad's life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2pm at the Carousel Pub, North Dakota State Fairground grandstands, Minot.
Family and friends are warmly invited to pay their respects and share memories.
The service will be video recorded and available for the public to view on Monday, February 3.
