It is hard to believe nearly a year has passed.
I never met Chad in person, but as a pilot associated with Solairus Aviation, I spoke with him often on the phone about any number of flights or other aspects of the air charter business. Our first conversation, about a complex trip, was a bit adversarial (he wanted me to do something I didn't want to do, but he was just advocating for Solairus, and I was advocating for the my crew and the company that owned the plane), but once we got past that, he and I developed a working relationship that over several years became a real friendship. I was a thousand miles away, but his death felt close to home, and hit hard. I wish I had a way of directly telling Eric or his parents just what a fine man he was, and what a pleasure he was to work with. Hopefully they will see this long delayed note.

Chad is definitely one of a kind, the legacy he is leaving behind is one for the books. You changed so many lives and I will be forever grateful. Still not going to wear bright orange shirt (even though you said I could rock it) Red heads probably can't rock that color at least not me!! maybe just socks shoes and a little orange on a shirt just not full blown Orange.
You were my partner in being the earliest for Crossfit class! Ill miss our laughs and talks. Fly high luv! what an amazing ANGEL was gained!!
Eric I am so sorry for your loss.

I had the privilege of watching Chad grow up. The first time I met him he was in middle school. He immediately impressed me when he had achieved his private pilot´s license while not even being old enough to get his driver´s license! As a young man he was excited about everything. What an amazing personality! He was enthused about everything in life and articulated just about every subject under the sun. Chad had a great smile. His smile was memorable. We gather seeking to find peace in the midst of a searing loss. We feel waves of grief over his young life - cut short so tragically. We come together to offer support and shelter from the storm of emotions that come at such a time as this. Chad had a lot of energy. I would say that Chad was always busy. Always moving. Chad was gentle. Chad had an uncanny ability to manifest so many attributes: He was quietly loud. He was immovably flexible. He was intensely relaxed. Chad was intellectually playful. How he balanced such paradoxes consistently amazed me! Chad had a heart for serving. Chad knew compassion. He knew what it was to love people thru serving them. Psalm 71:17 says, "O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds." Chad was willing to "go". He was willing to "do". To break a sweat or else. To serve...not be served. Today, like everyday - and especially today - we should seek out ways to serve someone - what better way to honor Chad than to serve. Chad had a faith. A transformed life is the outcome of a spiritual walk with God. To be redeemed and to know redemption and salvation is the ultimate in this life. We all pray that everyone becomes fully aware of God´s desire to make something unique in our relationship with Him; and then, thru such a relationship, we are transformed. I pray that the Lord has been especially near to all of you at this time. I share in your grief so much. I am so thankful for the memories we share. We pray that all will have, feel, and know the peace of God and, yes, how it does transcend all of our understanding, and ministers to our heart and minds as only Christ can."
