Chad Alan Gibson Obituary

March 8, 1968 – August 27, 2025

Chad, 57, of Melissa, TX, passed away unexpectedly in Woodbury, MN on August 27, 2025. Born in Bozeman, MT, Chad lived his life with energy, humor, and a fierce dedication to his family, friends, and career.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Madison (23) and Brooklyn (16), who were the true lights of his life. Chad was endlessly proud of them and never missed an opportunity to boast about their accomplishments. He especially loved cheering on Brooklyn's passion for soccer-beaming when she earned a spot on the varsity team as a sophomore-and celebrating Madison's dedication to cheer, track, and her recent college graduation. Their academic achievements were a constant source of pride, and anyone who knew Chad knew just how much he adored and admired his girls.

He also leaves behind his mother, Anna Gibson; siblings, Drew (Julie) Gibson and Gina (Mark) Leyda; his former wife, Heather, with whom he shared many meaningful years; and nieces, Danica (Brandyn) Carroll, Jenna Gibson, Kendra Gibson, Sofia Leyda, and Charlotte Leyda.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Gibson; grandparents Walter and Sofia Kubis, and Ted and Leora Gibson.

Chad built an incredible career in the building products industry, most recently serving as Senior Director of Supplier Partnerships at SRS Distribution Inc in McKinney, TX. He spent over seven years with SRS and previously devoted more than 26 years to Allied Building Products in Fargo, ND and Denver, CO. Work wasn't just a job for Chad-it was a calling. He poured himself into every role, forging lifelong friendships and making a lasting impact on those lucky enough to work alongside him.

Known for his fun-loving spirit and boundless energy, Chad lived each day like it was his last. He had a passion for great wine, live music, unforgettable parties, and making every gathering just a little more legendary. Wherever he went, laughter and good times were sure to follow. But more than anything, Chad was about connection-his friendships and his family meant the world to him.

To celebrate Chad's life and legacy, two gatherings will be held. Friends, family, and colleagues are welcome to attend one or both events.

The first will be on Friday, September 26, 2025, at United Club East inside Empower Field at Mile High Stadium, 1701 Bryant Street, Denver, CO 80204, home of the Denver Broncos where Chad was a season ticket holder for 30 years. A service will be held from 4:00–5:00 p.m., followed by a reception from 5:00–8:00 p.m.

Once at Mile High Stadium, please park in Lot A and enter Gate 7. For additional directions and parking instructions, please see below.

Please send flower deliveries to Heather Gibson, 22209 E Lake Place, Centennial, CO 80015 by 11am on Friday, September 26, 2025. The Stadium is unable to accommodate flower deliveries.

The second will be on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at SRS Distribution, 7440 State Hwy 121, McKinney, TX 75070, where Chad made a lasting impact.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you raise a glass of good wine, share a story, or play a song that reminds you of Chad-and live life to the fullest, just as he did.
