Chad Alton Jepson, 50, of Lawrence, KS, formerly of Valley Falls, KS, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 9, 2025 in Topeka, KS. He was born November 6, 1974 in Topeka, KS, the son of Norman Gene Jepson and Cathy (Lassiter) Jepson.
Chad graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1993 and from Washburn Tech receiving an Associates Degree in Legal. He proudly served in the United States Army.
He worked as a Baldwin City Employee in the Waste Water Dept. and formerly Maintenance Manager for the City of Valley Falls.
Chad was a member of Valley Falls Lutheran Church and life member of Valley Falls VFW Grahem-Herbers Post 3084.
He married April Nicholson; they later divorced.
Survivors include his mother, Cathy Jepson of Lawrence, KS; father, Norman Jepson (Jennifer) of Miami, OK; daughter, Bunni Jepson of Stull, KS; sister, Angela Jepson of Lake Wabaunsee in Alma, KS and brother, Shawn M. Jepson (Shylo) of Lawrence, KS.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Isaac Jepson and step-father, Jerry Branch.
Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Inurnment will follow at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by Valley Falls VFW Grahem Herbers Post 3084. Following the inurnment, a Celebration of Life will be at Brickstreet Bourbon in Valley Falls. Memorials may be given to the VFW Post 3084 c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
