Chad Ladwig Obituary

Chad Michael Ladwig, 52, of Johnstown, passed away June 24, 2022 at NCMC in Greeley. He was born June 13, 1970 in Cherokee, Iowa to Larry Don and Kristin Elizabeth (Rowen) Ladwig where he grew up. At the age of 10, the family moved to Greeley, and in 1989 he graduated from Greeley West High School. In his earlier years, Chad played football and baseball. On March 12, 2005, Chad married Melanie Rae Kechter in Fort Collins. They had two sons; Noah and Luke. For the past 14 years they have made their home in Johnstown. They are members of Grace Community Church in Johnstown. Chad and his brothers own Midtown Auto Sales in Greeley. He enjoyed all things with cars: NASCAR and racing, camping, golfing, the Denver Broncos and watching all kinds of sporting events, but most of all he enjoyed time with his family, especially watching his boys play sports. He loved a good game of Cribbage and playing any kind of card game. Thankful to have shared his life with his wife, Melanie, sons; Noah (15) and Luke (13), his brother, Jeff (Eileen) Ladwig, father Larry (Cyndee) Ladwig, and his half siblings; Andy Reinert, Andrea (Scott) Guzman, Sandi Ladwig, Nick (Stacey) Ladwig, Lindsay Ladwig as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom. Private family burial will take place at the Johnstown Cemetery. Chad's Life Celebration will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 8, 2022 at Grace Community Church, 2033 W. S. 1st St., Johnstown with a reception to follow.
