Chad Morrison

James Chad Morrison was born on March 4, 1971, in Denison, Texas, and passed away at the age of 53 on July 2, 2024, in McKinney, Texas. He was a father, son, and uncle that was known for his hardworking nature and dedication to making a significant impact on people's lives. Chad balanced his professional and personal commitments with a caring and supportive personality that endeared him to many.
Chad's generosity and supportive personality knew no bounds to the people who crossed his path. He supported many of Grayson Counties local charities within his life, such as Toys for Tots and Meals on Wheels. His true joy came from seeing others happy and thriving. He was a beloved friend to many and wanted nothing more than to see everyone around him succeed in their endeavors.
Chad is survived by a loving family: His Partner Warisara "Layla" Hanks (McKinney, TX); daughter, Sydney Morrison (Pottsboro, TX); son, London Morrison (Bonham, TX); stepson, Evan Brown (Pottsboro, TX); his Mother, Linda Morrison (Pottsboro, TX); his Father, Jim Morrison (Bonham, TX); step-Mother, Linda Morrison (Bonham, TX); sister Chandra, and husband Jason Curry (Pottsboro, Tx); nephew, Cameron Curry (Dallas, TX); niece, Taylor McKenzie (Centeron, AR). Each of these relationships were cherished deeply by Chad, as he was as dedicated to his family as he was to his broader ambitions.
Memorial services to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Monday, July 8th at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00pm with the services being held starting at 2:00pm.
