Chad Allen Parker, 55 of Homer, NY passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.
Born March 3, 1970 in Ithaca, NY he is the son of Edgar C. Parker and the late Deborah Perkins Parker. He was a life member and longtime board member of the W.B. Strong Fire Department in Freeville. He was a member of the Town of Scott Zoning Board and longtime Sexton of the Scott Union Cemetery. He loved bowling, playing softball with his church friends and cards with the church seniors. He loved hunting and fishing, was an avid Yankee and Saints fan and enjoyed going on cruises.
In addition to his father, Ed Parker, Chad is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Fuller Parker; two sons, Nathan Parker (Jennifer) and Anthony Parker (Kayla Nicholson); brother, Michael Parker (Catherine); sisters, Sherri Smith (Jim) and Lori Hines (George); sisters in law, Susan Parker and Claire Fuller; grandchildren, Levi, Annalyn and Kaiden Parker; father in law, Edgar S. Fuller Sr; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other extended family members. In addition to his mother, Debbie, he was predeceased by his mother in law, Juanita Hyde Fuller; and two daughters, Amanda Lynn Parker in 1994 and Kaitlyn Twyla Parker in 2006.
Chad was known as a giving person and even in death his giving continues with his donation of tissue that will help to heal as many as 75 people.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with a time of visitation from 2-5 pm followed by a service at 5 pm. Burial in Scott Union Cemetery will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to W.B.
