Chad is survived by his daughter Ashly (Troy) Huartson and their children Hilary and Avery, parents Jim and Sharon Vanderzee, sister Keri (Bud) Ammons, aunts and uncles Phil and Betty Brink, Larry and Bev VanDiest, Kathy and Link Finnson, and John Vanderzee; great aunts Glenda Polinder and Corky Vanderwall; nieces and nephews Nicholes, Becky, Preston, Ashley, Briley, Kelson, Cillian and Emmy; and cousins Darrin, Sheri, Dawn, Kristi, Tori, Luke, Kasey, Brandon, Taylor and Isaiah.
A Celebration of Chad's life will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Mt. Baker Rotary Building in Lynden.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies funeral Home and Cremation Services.
