Chad is survived by his mother, Diane McElwaney Powell; father, Roy Powell (Patsy); stepmother, Lynn Butcher (Bud); daughter, Destiny Powell; sister, Brandie Powell Whitman; nephew, Devin Conner and nieces, Mikayla Whitman and Hayden Rawls. He is also survived by his great niece, Paislee Conner.
There is no service planned at this time. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.mckoon.com. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Chad's name to Shriners Hospital for Children online at www.donate.lovetotherescue.org/give.
