Jacqueline Payne Phillips

Jacqueline "Jackie" Payne Phillips, age 90, passed away in her home on January 21st, 2026 surrounded by love.

She was born on February 18th, 1935 in Anniston, AL to the late JP and Myrtle Payne.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles Phillips, daughter Deborah Phillips, grandson Cody Phillips and brother Kenneth Payne.

Jackie's family was her whole world. She had a way of listening and being present that made people feel understood and a way of speaking that stayed with you long after the conversation ended.

Some of the most cherished memories were made sitting together at her kitchen table-family gathered, sharing stories about life, love, and everything in between. Those moments weren't about the place itself, but about being together, feeling connected, and learning from her wisdom and warmth.

She showed her love through presence, consistency, and care. Her family was her greatest joy, and the lessons she shared will continue to guide those she leaves behind.

Jackie leaves behind her loving family, daughter Donna Woodie, son Steven (Resa) Phillips, close family friend Robin McAllister; grandchildren Richard (Ike) Wright, Jamie (Jimmy) Branson, Donna (Josh S.) Wilson, Cori (Justin) Portell, Cristie (Jason) Phillips, Michael (Jessica) Hill, Jesse Barrett, Jodi (John) Wilson, Toni (Zakk) Buchanan, Jake Parks; great grandchildren Miles Peavy, Will Branson, Graysen Branson, Noah Wilson-Sizemore, JD (Olivia) Wilson, Brooke Portell, Lily Portell, Savannah (Dalton) Mobley, Ely Spradlin, Cole Spradlin, Wilder Jaqueline Hill, Bailey (Alex) Works, Laney Hill, Dayton (Mike) Hill, Jase Hill, Jax Hill, Xander Barrett and Elijah Buchanan; great great grandchildren; Slayton Works, Kade Cote and baby boy Wilson due May, 2026.

Jackie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, her memory living on in the conversations, laughter, and love she helped create.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held February 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM. Family will receive friends starting at 12:00.

Luthersville Baptist Church with Pastor John Pape officiating.
