We are truly saddened to hear about the death of Chaim Topol, and we send our heartfelt condolences to the family during this difficult time. We have certainly lost a talented person. I remember going to watch the movie with my mother and siblings when I was a young child. What talent! We are thankful he shared his remarkable gifts with us, and he will certainly be missed. Please continue to treasure the good memories you have and may they soothe your saddened hearts. May prayers strengthen you and cherished memories comfort you, and may God soothe your hearts and comfort you always. Psalm 23

A favorite actor of mine, who lived in Israel, passed away tonight. Topol, who played Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof." Three generations of my family were deeply affected for years because of this movie. Oh, Topol, I will miss you. This breaks my heart very much. I hope and pray you found your Messiah. You are loved. Thank you, Tevye. Rest in peace. Thank you so very much Topol, for sharing your story with the world. I have seen the play of "Fiddler" five times; hope to see it once more in your memory, and have seen the movie fifteen times and more. I have hope and faith that you might be in Heaven. To your family, I am very sorry for your loss. You all are in my prayers. May Adonai bless you forever and bring you peace.

I recall the first time I saw this amazing movie with my parents, I was only 8 years old. It had an enormous impact on my family and lead my mother to ask "Why can't I talk to God? I want to talk to Him!" And that began our journey of faith. Chaim Topol has inspired countless lives with his magnificent performance and will be forever remembered by the lives he has touched and the search for God that he sparked from this one movie. What a tremendous honor to his memory! My deepest sympathies to your family.

I saw him on his first night returning to Broadway in November 1990 at the Gershwin Theatre while attending the New York Dental Convention at the Javit's Center. His arrival onstage was fit for a king, and he did not disappoint.

Brilliant, versatile actor. So convincing in his part in "Wind of War" and War and Remembrance". And who can forget "Fiddler on the Roof". He enriched us with his ability to make it look like he was actually living the parts that he played. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

What a sad time - I met Topol many years ago at the premiere in Tel Aviv of his first movie "I Like Mike" and wonderful 'apres' party in Omar Kayam/Jaffa ... of course we all loved Tevye - sincere condolences to his lovely wife and family

When Fiddler On The Roof came out I was 10 and my brother and I had been sent to Boise, ID for the summer to let my mother recuperate from a heart attack. Worried about my mom, on my 10th birthday I asked my aunt to go see the movie and I was mesmerized. I wanted Topol as my father based on that movie and to this day it is my most favorite of movies. To see him struggle with family love versus traditions was a learning experience. Thanks for giving me such joy for so many years Topol. And congratulations for a life well lived.

Topol was a great actor in the movie Fiddler On The Roof. I loved the movie. But it was a sad movie too. My condolences to Topol's family. May God give them strength and peace. The Lord Is My Shepherd. Psalm 23.
