Chajla Turner, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away on August 19, 2025, at the age of 44. She was born on August 21, 1980. Chajla dedicated many years of her life to being an administrator at Illinois Action for Children, where she made a positive impact on many lives.
Chajla had a great passion for arts and crafts. She enjoyed creating and expressing herself through her artistic endeavors. Her creativity brought joy to those around her.
Chajla is survived by her mother, Emma Turner, and her siblings: Ahmad Turner, Hamar Willis, Chanon Willis, and Dorothy Truitt. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Turner.
Chajla will be remembered for her kindness, her love of art, and the dedication she showed in her career. She will be missed by all who knew her.
