Chandler Reed Gillespie, age 23, of the Lewisburg community, passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2023, in San Diego, California.
Chandler “Chan-Man” was a gifted self-taught artist and was working toward an apprenticeship for tattooing before his passing. He also loved basketball, football, skateboarding, the outdoors and lived life to the fullest. He made a huge impact on others around him bearing a big smile and an infectious laugh. His loving heart overflowed to animals as he gave his beloved Meech and Buster a forever home.
He was special, incredibly smart and worked hard to finish high school early as part of the December of 2019 graduating class for Marshall County High School. He was an A student with a will and determination to succeed. Throughout his life, there are many people who positively influenced him from Tennessee to California and he was able to use his experience to positively impact so many lives himself.
He is survived by his parents Jaxie (Doug) Bush and Scott (Dana) Gillespie, siblings; Delanie (Trevor) Walker, Ryan and Caden Bush, Kayla (Justin) Maxwell, nieces and nephews; Atlas and Aiden Walker, Jace, Kinsley and Bowen Maxwell. Grandparents; Jack Reed, Randy (Barbara) Gillespie, Anita Gillespie, Shirley Jones, Geri Sparks and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
