Charlene Bailey-age 71 of Washburn went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Mount Eager Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they were the light of her life. Preceded in death by Parents, Hubert and Dorena (Clay) Nicley; sisters, Kaye and Janice.

Survivors: son, Chris Nicley and wife, Carolyn; Dad, Earl Nicley, three grandchildren, Morgan and Dewayne Maples, Courtney and Greg Welch, Mahayley Coffey and fiancé, Ryan Beeler. Twelve grandchildren, Corbin Welch, Emylynn Headrick, Corbin Nicley, Sadie Headrick, Aurey Welch, Charolott Welch, Aiden Headrick, Marlie Headrick, Ryker Beeler, Hunter Maples, Remi Maples, Leeland Welch. Brother, Rev. David and Phoebe Nicley; sisters, Vickie Dyer, Trish and Bill Sexton. Nephews, Chad, Brad and Jason; niece, Bethany.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Monday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Gary Donehew officiating with music by The Williams Family. Interment 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Fairview Cemetery, Tater Valley Road, Luttrell, Rev. David Nicley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12 noon Tuesday at the funeral home to go with the procession. Pallbearers: Brad Nicley, Chad Bolden, Jason Lyndsey, Dewayne Maples, Gregg Welch, Drew Winstead; Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Sexton, Isaiah Lindsey along with the grandchildren. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
