Charlene M. Crandall, age 58, of Mondovi, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Mayo Health System in Eau Claire.
She was born on November 17, 1965 in Racine, WI to the late Richard and Carol Ann (Timmons) Jarstad.
Charlene attended schools in Union Grove. She met Terry Crandall and married in 1983 and moved to Mondovi. To this marriage, five children were born. They later divorced.
Charlene was a devoted and loving mom that spent her life raising her children to become the best that they could be. She was even known as a mom figure to the friends of her children.
She enjoyed swimming, reading, playing cards and taking long walks.
As Charlene saw her children become adults, it gave her so much pride to become and be called “grandma”. Quite honestly, Charlene’s life was her family, and her family was everything to her.
Charlene will be sadly missed by her children, Maria (Jon) Crandall, Allen (Carla) Crandall, Brian (Tracey) Crandall, Shawn Crandall, Brandi (Tony) Crandall; grandchildren, Devin, Josie, Brody, Brady, Layla, Kasey, Korey, Konway, Sierra, Clara and Brooklyn; sister, Michelle Ruleford-Kaul; half-sister, Rachel (Randy) Wellsandt; also, by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kassidy Crandall and half-brother, Ricky Jarstad.
A memorial gathering and time to celebrate the life of Charlene will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi Chapel. Inurnment will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at East Pepin Cemetery in the Town of Albany, Pepin County north of Mondovi on County road H.
