Mary Ann McGee, age 79, passed away on February 24, 2026.
She was born on August 15, 1946, the daughter of Edward “Jack” and Rhodell (Larson) McGee. Mary was the5th child of a family of 16 children.
Mary attended Gilmanton Schools and graduated with the class of 1964.
In Mary’s earlier days, she went to Beauty School and apprenticed at B Lovely Beauty Shop in Mondovi. Mary then went to Campbellsport, WI with her sisters Nancy and Donna and where she worked at Regal Wear in Kewaskum, WI. She returned back to Mondovi and worked at Sportsman's Bar. She then worked at Super America in Mondovi and attended School at CVCT in Eau Claire. After graduating from CVTC she worked at Marten Transport until retirement.
Mary was known for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. Mary made lots of long time friends in her careers. She was always impeccably dressed with matching jewelry and her beautifully painted nails. She enjoyed sitting on her patio in the sun and talking with her neighbors and people passing by. Long conversations on the phone with her sister’s, sister-in-law’s and long time friends.
Mary is survived by her siblings, Jim (Linda) of Mondovi, Nancy Winberg of Mondovi, Donna (Kenneth) Schmitt of Campbellsport, Larry (Barb) McGee of Strum, Dixie (Joe) Kaehne of Campbellsport, Terry (Kim) McGee of Mondovi, Bob (Dixie) McGee of Mondovi and Joy Kellner of Gilmanton; sisters-in-law, Sally McGee of Mondovi, Gail McGee of Eau Claire and Shirley McGee of West Bend and Joy McGee of Eau Claire; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward (Jack) & Rhodell McGee, sister & brother-in-law Jean & Stan Quale, six brothers, Dean McGee,Dick McGee, Dale McGee, Randy McGee, Bill McGee and Shawn McGee, brothers-n-law Dwight Winberg & Jon Steinke and her niece, Pam McGee.
