Charlene Lewis, 72, beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, was called to her Heavenly home on December 22, 2023. She entered this world on March 25, 1951, in Livermore, CA, born to Cecil Marvin and Thelma Catherine Leister.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Lewis; her son, Phillip Berry (Lori) of Spring Branch, Texas; daughter Donna Pancoast of Rockport, Texas ; step-son, Mark Lewis (Martha) of New Braunfels, Texas; step-daughter, Shelley Adame of Ingleside, Texas; brothers, Marvin Leister Jr of Aransas Pass; adoptive family, Father Marvin Leister Jr., of Aransas Pass, Texas; sisters, Catherine (Ed) of Ingleside, Texas, Carolyn (Mark) of Edgewood, NM, and Kay of Ingleside, Texas; brothers, Thomas (Donna) of Aransas Pass, Texas and Timothy (Karen) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Grandchildren, Jerin, Trevor, Brett, Brooke, Chloe, Luke, Regan, Kendall, Gillian, Jana, Jordan; great-grandchildren, Jonah, Judah, Elijah, Caleb, Orson, Aviana and Gianna.
Charlene is preceded in death by her Parents Marvin Sr., Thelma and Jeanette Leister; siblings, Anne, Shirley, Butch, CL, Margaret, Charles and Dan.
Charlene graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi with a Bachelor's degree and served as a Justice of the Peace for San Patricio County for 16 years.
Her hobbies included a love for genealogy and gardening. She spent many days and hours after retirement researching her family history and gardening at her retirement home in her beloved Leakey, Texas.
Charlene returned home to the Ingleside, Aransas Pass area a few years ago, to be closer to her dearly loved friends and family.
Charlene will be greatly missed; heaven gained another great soul.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2023, at Crossroads Church located at 417 N. Houston in Aransas Pass, Texas. Interment to follow at Rockport Cemetery.
Acting as Pallbearers are Thomas Leister, TJ Leister, Tim Leister, Andrew Leister, BJ Mason, Trevor Pancoast, Brett Pancoast, and Scott Grumbles. Honorary Pallbearer Luke Berry.
